Costa Rica – Day 4

Be not afraid of going slowly, be afraid only of standing still. – Chinese Proverb

On day 4 Tony was woken by the sound of monkeys in the tree outside our balcony. It was the best wake-up call he could have asked for!!

We spent the day poolside then went to a beach that is protected due to to the rare turtle egg laying activities. Our guide was a marine biologist and was very knowledgeable. We started off on a half mile hike through the jungle under a almost full moon and flashlights, to a secluded beach that was only illuminated by the moon. The Tica’s are very protective of the turtles and only allow infrared lighting to see them. It was a once in a life time experience.
